  • Online Distance Learners must have access to a practical site. A minimum of 1,680 hours of practical work is required over the 2-year period (approximately 54 weeks at 8 hours per day, 5 days per week).

  • All course material offered in English. Support & contact class assistance also available in Afrikaans.
  • Ongoing mentorship support provided.
  • Practical Experience: Hands-on training at Cullinan Farm and/or own practical site for distance learners and for the 2nd year of study.
  • Start Date: February (Cullinan & Groenkloof), continuous for online studies.
  • Short Courses to the value of approximately R30,000 included in the Diploma fee.

Good to know

  • Two-year duration of which the 2nd year is always online.
  • Matric Certificate required.
  • Diplomas are AgriSETA accredited and a SAQA registered qualification.
  • Agri Skills Transfer is QCTO accredited.
  • Online theory (where applicable) conducted via a Learner Management System.
  • Additional practical experience to be gained at your own site during the 2nd year of your studies (Cullinan & Groenkloof learners).
  • There are no formal tests or exams. Learners are evaluated based on assignments and the practical logbook.
