This AgriSETA-accredited course equips learners with the foundational knowledge and practical skills to manage and support the reproductive processes of farm animals. It covers both natural mating behaviours and artificial insemination (AI) techniques, following industry-standard practices to promote animal welfare and reproductive efficiency.
The course includes TWO days of practical training, which can be completed either at our training facility or on a farm of the learner’s choice.
The course aligns with the following SAQA-registered Unit Standards:
- US 116107 – Identify Basic Breeding Practices for Farm Animals (NQF Level 2 | 5 Credits)
- US 116215 – Apply Basic Artificial Insemination Practices (NQF Level 3 | 5 Credits)
